Giving Back

As a member of the greater New York community for over 15 years, Seery Systems takes pride in being able to give back to the organizations and people that inspire us. We aim to help build up our community and provide relief for those in need.

To carry out this goal, Rich & Irmi Seery, as well as the entire Seery Systems team, are proud to be involved with a number of Charities and Associations.

ABILITIES, Inc. at The Viscardi Center

ABILITIES, Inc. at The Viscardi Center prepares adolescents and adults with all types of disabilities (physical, learning, developmental) and levels of experience for entry or re-entry into the workforce by assisting them in securing pre-employment services as well as employment so that they can enjoy independent living, full community participation and economic self-sufficiency. Seery Systems is proud to be a Corporate Partner of ABILITIES, Inc. through the Preferred Source Program for over ten years putting Persons with Disabilities to Work.

NYSID Preferred Source Solutions

For more than 35 years, NYSID – a not-for-profit member agency organization – has been meeting the purchasing needs of state and local government agencies while advancing employment for New Yorkers with disabilities. Under the legislatively-mandated New York State Preferred Source Program, NYSID acts as a “virtual storefront” for a statewide network of 165 community rehabilitation agencies and private sector business partners to employ skilled people with disabilities in production facilities and community-based jobs.

Through more than 1,700 contracts that bring work to NYS communities, NYSID member agencies deliver quality goods and services at OGS-approved prices to fulfill individual government agency missions.  This past year nearly 7,000 people with disabilities earned $65 million in Preferred Source wages working 4.2 million hours.

The INN (Interfaith Nutritional Network)

The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on Long Island by providing food, shelter, long-term housing, and supportive services in a dignified and respectful manner for those who seek our help. We are a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization with a dedicated staff, a broad base of community support and a commitment to educate the public about these issues.

Rich & Irmi have supported the INN for many years.  Rich was recently the 2015 Honoree at the INN’s Annual Golf Outing.
